I try and stay away from videos like these… Makes your blood boil.

    LDU,
I do understand and I’m sure you’d agree that in order to render the conflict to a peaceful settlement it is the citizens of the US and Britain that must learn from such videos.

    Shame on us.

Thank you for the post and peace…

A few years ago apatheid was very poweful and thriving in South Africa, Now it is consigned to the dustbin of history. I, therefore am an optimist even in these apallingly tragic times. I believe humanity will march towards an equitable world, and hence states like Israel based on the theory of superiority of a people belonging to a particular race or religion will have absolutely no future.

Timely Reminders

"Those who crusade, not for God in themselves, but against the devil in others, never succeed in making the world better, but leave it either as it was, or sometimes perceptibly worse than what it was, before the crusade began. By thinking primarily of evil we tend, however excellent our intentions, to create occasions for evil to manifest itself."
-- Aldous Huxley

"The only war that matters is the war against the imagination. All others are subsumed by it."
-- Diane DiPrima, "Rant", from Pieces of a Song.

"It is difficult
to get the news from poems
yet men die miserably every day
for lack
of what is found there"
-- William Carlos Williams, "Asphodel, That Greeny Flower"
